Holy Week (Latin: Hebdomas Sancta, Greek: Μεγάλη Εβδομάδα, English: Holy Week), also known as Passion Week, in Christian tradition, is the week before Easter to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus.
In Western Christian tradition, Holy Week is the last week of Lent in the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church. Includes Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, and Good Friday, from Palm Sunday (in the East, from Lazarus Saturday) until Easter Eve, excluding Easter. Among them, the period from Thursday to Saturday, known as the "Three Days of Passover" (Latin: Triduum Sacrum Paschale), is the peak of Christian liturgical life.
